Which is the best tool?

We’ll update this article with a full breakdown and comparison of the various aspects of the two online design tools, but for now based on several factors including overall value for money, ease of use, template library size and variety, and few others we would say that Canva is the better option at the moment.

As a complete online graphic design software we would recommend Canva ahead of Flipsnack. At the moment, there’s simply so much on offer with Canva from their template range and library, to video creation, and integrations that allow users to easily create flipbooks too.

That being said, if you’re someone who is planning on regularly creating online interactive magazines or flipbooks, Flipsnack is a fantastic tool. They make the process of creating professional looking online publications a total breeze.

When it comes to creating interactive flipbooks, you can’t directly do that on the Canva platform.

What you can do though is create the pages for a flipbook, brochure, magazine, etc. on Canva and publish it directly to one of several flipbook platforms including Heyzine, Publuu, Simplebooklet, FlowPaper, and Issuu.

You can see in the image below an example of a flipbook we created in Canva (we know the pages don’t completely match), and then published via Heyzine:
